Description
This stunning sauna was commissioned by a client with a property in the Highlands of Scotland. The special location deserved a totally unique sauna, we wanted to create something that would compliment the landscape in a considered and engaging way. The house is a contemporary building which we also wanted to respond to, so with a lot of inspiration we created this wonderfully simple yet stunning sauna. The black cladding, cuts the structure quite dramatically into the landscape, the effect of the sedum roof equally in contrast adds to the drama. The decision to go black for the internal cladding as well as the external was an educated success, making this a brave and undeniably exciting piece of design.
